How do you get through Thamur's corpse? ›

Once you enter the main tundra where you can spot Thamur's Head in the distance, look to the left of where an Ice Ancient is, you can spot a closed gate with three Rune Seals similar to a Nornir Chest. In order to raise the gate, you'll need to match the symbols of the “E”, sideways “R”, and sideways “p”.

One of the most unique locations in the PS4's God of War is Thamur's corpse, and this area hides many things that can be easily missed. In Santa Monica Studios' soft God of War reboot, players come across the corpse of the giant Thamur about halfway through the main story.
