Error codes are displayed in the counter on the printer control panel.
E0 error
An E0 error indicates that the cartridge cannot be used.
This happens when one or both cartridges need attention. Reinstall both ink cartridges, clean the ink cartridge contacts, restart the printer, and replace one or both ink cartridges as needed.
E1 or E2 error
An E1 or E2 error indicates that the paper size setting does not match the size of paper loaded in the input tray.

E3 or E4 error
An E3 or E4 error indicates a carriage or paper jam.

E5 or E6 error
An E5 or E6 error occurs when the scanner or printer is in an error state. Reset the printer.

E9 error
Error E9 occurs when the error occurs after a printer firmware update or after a printer reset.

The light bar emits light blue light
The edge light strip glows light blue when the printer is idle and ready to use. When the printer is in sleep mode, the lights are dimmed. You don't need to take any action.
Light bar pulses white
The edge light bar blinks white when the printer is processing a print job. You don't need to take any action.
The light bar is blinking light green
When the edge light bar turns light green, do not use the printer until the green glow light disappears.

Light bar pulses purple
The edge light strip blinks purple when the printer is connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Purple light moving from center to outer edge: The printer is in Auto Wireless Connect (AWC) mode and is waiting to connect to your computer or mobile device.

This happens when the printer loses its Wi-Fi connection or there is a connection error during setup.
If this happens during first-time setup, press and holdwirelessPress and hold the button on the back of the printer for five seconds to reset the wireless connection. Then, set up the printer again.
Light bar glows amber
The light bar glows amber when a printing error occurs. Check other lights on the printer to find and resolve the error you are experiencing.
The tray light is blinking
This happens when a paper error prevents the printer from starting or continuing a print job. Load paper, check the printer for paper jams, or change the paper or paper settings.

This can happen when a counterfeit or previously used ink cartridge is installed, or when the ink cartridge is low on power.
If the corresponding ink cartridge is newly installed, it may be counterfeit or previously used. Cartridge access door and Cartridge light blink, Cancel button is on, Resume button is off
This can happen when one of the ink cartridges is missing or installed incorrectly.
If one of the ink cartridges is missing, the printer will enter single-cartridge mode. Insert the missing cartridge to exit this mode. This happens when the ink cartridge access door is open. Close the ink cartridge access door and resume printing.

This happens when the number of Wi-Fi Direct connections is up to 5 devices.
