“I love this layout! I've stayed in other units with different floor plans and this one is my favorite. The bedroom with bunk beds was a selling point when we booked. No windows which my teens love. Make sleeping easy. My advice is to bring a night light. My only complaint is that the main bed desperately needs some kind of soft bed to soften it up. Lovely apartment, I would rent again!

“We stayed for 12 days and had a great time! The condo is right near the pool and Baytown Marina with shops and restaurants. There is also a shopping center not far away. The tram system is very helpful for getting around. The golf course we played was The Links, which was a beautiful course. Interesting. The apartment was mostly clean and had the amenities we've come to expect. The issues we had were all minor. There was only one dirty bathroom ventilation fan and the pull out sofa had no blanket or mattress cover. When I called to inquire about this and left a message, I received no return call. Otherwise, we had a great time and great weather too!

“This is our 10th year of vacationing in San Destin at the Village of Baytowne Wharf. We've stayed in just about every building and Pilot House is a new favourite. Easy access to Baytown for dinner and exciting summer evening shows and events. The pool is quieter than the Grande pool, and I like that it has a kitchen attached (ice machine, vending machines, fridge, etc.). Nice BBQ/sitting area too. The gym is spacious and well equipped. Our only complaint about this unit is the bed. Cheap bedding, pillows and mattresses. Not peaceful or relaxing. The last night, my husband lay on the couch because he couldn't take it anymore. As much as we loved the apartment, the management was very helpful and friendly, the kitchen was well stocked (thank god for the Keurig coffee maker!), the decor was very beach chic...but the mattress and bedding left us sore and uneasy.

“This is my second time staying at this exact rental. The location is close to everything and they provide a shuttle to take you anywhere you want to go. The rentals themselves are always clean and very nice inside. It comes with everything you need from kitchen appliances to washer and dryer. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone. “My husband and adult daughter stayed at Pilot House 411 for a few days while meeting family at a local campground. We have chosen the right place! It was spacious when my grandkids came, the pool was fun and the kitchen had everything I needed to bake. The decor is very attractive. We all slept very well on the king size bed/doing laundry in the unit was handy at the end of our trip. The best seller is the parking lot! Our garage is right under our unit! It was busy at night when it arrived and people were trying to park! We are very grateful! We only had one beach day due to Tropical Storm Claudia, but in between the rain we thoroughly enjoyed our day and evening walks in Baytowne. Food, laughter, family activities (ropes course, zip line, bungee jumping), different types of music playing. All the other guests we encountered were polite and loved Baytowne. Great atmosphere! A couple of minor things to note were sorted out quickly, including wrong (incomplete) gate email address. One thing that frustrates us is the many wall switches, we couldn't figure out what lights they were operating etc, we brought this to the owner's attention, and the outlet was on the wall switch, we don't think there is power. We finally figured it out, and didn't lose any sleep! If you live in PH411, if they don't take our advice and put a sticker on the switch, take a post-it :). I almost forgot my favorite part. I fell hard on the dock and spent days soaking in perfectly molded soaking tubs! I want to take it home! ! We will be back at Pilot House in 2022!

“This place is great. Perfect space for a family of 4. Walking distance to Baytowne which was nice due to the colder days. We have things for the kids to do. Nextdoor's neighbor has a dog that barks most of the time which is annoying but I think you get that in any apartment/apartment type building and it has nothing to do with our property. The swimming pool is nice and close by. Nice grass area where our kids could run around outside the apartment too. Due to covid caution we didn't take the tram to the beach but it seemed to run quite often! Will definitely come back in the future.

“We had a few bumps getting to our condo, the security guard wouldn't look at our passes to let us in to the resort, then our door code didn't work, but by calling our contact at Destin Memories, she figured it out . Our apartment was very nice with plenty of space. This is a great place for all the activities. We look forward to staying next year!

“Overall, a beautiful location and sights. The porch is my favorite... having a cup of coffee in the morning and listening to the birds chirping and a cold drink in the evening listening to the frogs.
Short drive to the beach or use the trolley. Very convenient to shops, dining and entertainment.
Now, things that could have been better: the floors were dirty. Within an hour of the first day, all of our feet turned black. I'm too lazy to call, but I'm sure they'll be mopping. The shower (hair on the left) wasn't cleaned and while packing I noticed the cord on my cpap (on the floor during our stay) was stained with hair (not mine). There are so many knick-knacks around that you don't have room for your own stuff. I have very little room for my cpap on the nightstand. The bedroom closets are stacked up to the ceiling with extra sheets (due to Covid19 only) and the couch and I can't hang my clothes in there. The dresser handle in the bedroom was broken and difficult to open. The bathroom shelves had trim on each shelf so we had very little room to put our stuff. The kitchen is not well equipped for cooking. I know people don't cook during the holidays but I do because the only meal we had was terrible and cost $94...we ate. I admit, I didn't call anyone, maybe some cleaning issues could have been sorted out. My contact person was always friendly and helpful, went out of his way during the booking process to make things run smoothly and answered every question I had. She is great! I also called the night we arrived because security put a sticker on our car because we didn't get a parking pass. We stopped at the gate and showed the guard our original reservation and all he said was "I can't read this, I don't have glasses". So, we had to know we needed a pass and parked in a garage that required a code to get in. They were very helpful when I called, explaining that we needed to get a pass from the gate. “The rental unit (Pilot House 411) is very nice. We were a bit bummed that there were no darker shades in the bedroom and the sun was shining at 6am every morning. The unit was very clean and met our needs. Being so close to Baytown Warf was a bonus. The elevator to the right was broken throughout our stay and we never saw anyone trying to fix it. The wait for the elevator was a bit long as only 1 was working.

“We were very surprised to find a newly refurbished apartment and can only say that it is really well done. It would be perfect if the balcony furniture and refrigerator were replaced with new ones.
The resort is also beautifully landscaped, but apart from the playground in the village, there isn't much for kids. We don't think so.

“This rental was perfect for our family of 5 (2 kids and a baby)! The codes we needed were sent to us before so we had zero issues getting into the resort, the parking lot and finally getting into the unit. It was super clean and well decorated when we got there! The kids love the bunk room and the back deck is nice and big. It would be nice to have a full kitchen and laundry room! We love how close it is to the village and the pool is great. We were there for spring break and it was a bit chilly at times with the wind blowing, but the pool was heated so the kids could still get in. We only took the trolley a couple of times because we took a lot of stuff to the beach, but we didn't have to wait too long. Overall it was a great stay, our 7 year old said it was the best "hotel" he has ever stayed in :) We plan to come back in the future!

I would say the only problem was that the main door code changed during our stay and no one let us know and the code for the owner's storage room didn't work either. Other than that, it's great! “Great place! Everything is convenient. We did leave our bathing suits and some shorts in the dryer, we reached out but no reply. Usually we don't care, but they are LULU lemons, or however you spell them. My wife would know there may have been hundreds of dollars lost there. Other than that, it's certainly top-notch.

“I live with my husband and our kids. My only regret is that I didn't stay long enough! The apartment is clean, spacious and has a very large balcony. There is a TV in every room so no fighting (3 kids). Also, there is a rooftop swimming pool and fitness center in the building.
Also, the owner was very well organized and emailed a full set of property descriptions. I will always look forward to renting from the owners of this property.
