“Enjoy this unit's Baytown Marina location. I would encourage the owners to replace the sofa. This has been mentioned by other commenters and needs to be done. The unit is fine for a couple or a third guest, but the second bedroom has no windows or closets and is quite small.

“Some updates since our last stay. Still no one hooks up a DVD player properly. If you're too old to push luggage carts up the ramp, electric ramps should have been installed years ago. I wouldn't do that again, rent an apartment that you can walk through the front door. I was told the only heated pool was Thanksgiving and Christmas week. Whoever owns this needs to spend a few bucks on a new coffee maker, rearrange the shelves and prepare enough utensils for 8 servings so you don't have to clean them every day. There were only 2 of us eating 2/3 meals which meant cleaning every day. Someone please come in and tidy up the kitchen. The balcony, swimming pool or garden are too cold. Television only has reruns, the Today show airs all day, as do other news shows. Beverly Hillbillies and other old shows are all there is to offer. The bed was ok. We asked for an extra blanket. The towels were thin and not drying. The washer and dryer seemed to be working fine. The second bedroom had nowhere to hang or put clothes, just suitcases on the floor. Blackout curtains are fine. It was dark until around 10am.

“The apartment was perfect for us! We love that we are right in the middle of so many restaurants and shops and only minutes from the beach.
The only negative thing I can say is that some of the dishes in the kitchen were still dirty, but other than that, everything was great!

“Great location, a bit pricey and could use more storage space for clothes, but for a couple or family of four this is a great apartment. Easy access to well maintained pool area, fitness center and nearby Baytown Wharf shopping and restaurants. Good trolley service to Grand Avenue shopping/restaurants and the beach.

“We really enjoyed our stay at Pilot House. With a fantastic Sandestin location, this condo is just steps or a short shuttle ride away from many great amenities. The swimming pool is beautiful and is on the same floor as the apartment so it is very convenient. The village of Baytowne Warf is also just a short walk away with several restaurants and shops. We took the shuttle to the beach a few times and it was very convenient. The condo is also just a few miles from the Outlet Mall and many other restaurants. We will definitely be staying here! !

“Need a place to stay overnight before our beach rentals are available. We enjoyed the convenience of the Pilot House which is located in Baytown. We were able to park our car in the garage and have easy access to our unit. We started our vacation by walking around the corner for great dinners, shopping and nightlife. The unit is very clean and nicely decorated. We got a good rest after a day of traveling. Wish we could have stayed another night to see the pool or golf course in Sandestin.
The only downside I can comment on is that there is only a very small bathroom. It's definitely time to shower and dry your hair. If there were some mirrors or something elsewhere in the bedroom, it might make it easier for 4 people to get ready. It's still much better than staying overnight in a hotel, another option for us.

“We have lived at the Pilot House on and off for 5 years. We love the location and the many dining and entertainment options. I was a bit disappointed that there was no option for clothes storage in the second bedroom, so my kids had to live in their suitcases for a week. The tub kept backing up while taking a shower and wasn't as clean as I expected. There were greasy hand prints on the back of the bathroom door and the pull out sofa mattress was dirty with black marks and hair. While checking under the bed to make sure we had everything we noticed there was a lot of trash and dust. Cleanliness is key and should be a priority!
